Already catch “Moorea”, the new application of Office 15

For a long time rumored to be on that Office 15 will include a new application, completely different from existing programs of the suite, but now we finally have more details about it, thanks to a leak of Office that occurred a few days ago. We know it will be called “Moorea” and that will look like what you see in the catches from above. We also know that now is in a very early stage of development, the level that it has its own icon in Office, but it appears to the Word icon.
What will “Moorea”? appears to be a sort of aggregator of information (the estlo Evernote or OneNote) concepts and features that will inherit the deceased tablet Courier . It will have a square-based interface, similar to the Metro UI, which may add images, text and documents with ease.
These contents can be grouped into blocks, allowing us to separate the information according to its subject. Then we can navigate between these blocks of information through a display case.

As you mention on Neowin , this tool is much like the add-on Canvas for OneNote, which also allows you to save information (notes, images, documents) by dividing it into squares, one inside another.
How useful have an application like “Moorea”? would be quite useful for things like research or projects, which would store all the relevant information in one place , making it a “central hub” of information and notes. For example, if a student is researching the French Revolution, could store and organize Moorea all articles, pictures and helpful comments you will find.
Another advantage would be its interface, which seems specially designed for tablets, allowing access to information through square buttons touch-friendly . I do not think the resemblance to the Courier tablet interface is chance.
Lime, the other “new application” Office 15
But if this is the new application of Office 15 … what about Lime , the other unknown application that appeared on a leaked build of Office 15? On the one hand, Moorea and Lime are not exclusive. It is entirely possible that Microsoft has had an explosion of creativity , and that consequently Office 15 comes with more than a new application .
But on the other hand, if we remember what was said on Lime , we see that the two hypotheses that were managed to be a tool for Business Intelligence , or a real-time collaborative environment , mounted on Windows Azure. In both cases, the role of Lime fit fully in the role of an add-on to an existing application, rather than being a new and separate application. For example, Lime is a Business Intelligence tool, would make little sense to come in the form included in Excel extension (as with SOLVER currently).
Meanwhile, if Lime ends up being a collaborative environment based on Azure, could come included in the current Microsoft Groove. Even Lime might be a successor “vitaminize” of the current Groove.
But the above are just guesses. Let’s wait a bit to figure out the truth about “Lime” and “Moorea”.For now be satisfied with catches that have been leaked.
